Is There Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro Or Not?
The largest screen smartphone of Xiaomi is the newly announced Mi Max 3. Besides a large screen and a large capacity battery, this phone also adopts a full-screen design. That’s why though it sports up to a 6.9-inch screen, the phone is still very comfortable for single-hand operations. However, many Mi fans have been waiting for the device to come with a Snapdragon 710 pseudo-flagship chip, which has managed to appear on such handsets as the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and VIVO NEX. Unfortunately, when the Mi Max 3 was uncovered, we saw it is packed with a lower-category SoC of the Snapdragon 636. Of course, this is an awesome chipset and it’s considered as the down-grade variant of the well-known Snapdragon 660, but it still yields the SND710 in terms of performance. That’s why the net has been buzzing about the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro. Today, the company officially replied to all those questions.

Today, through his Weibo account, Zhi Yuan Zang, product marketing director at Xiaomi, said there will be no launch of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro equipped with a Snapdragon 710. These words undoubtedly disappointed those who had been looking forward to the Mi Max 3 Pro. But it’s too early to get disappointed.
At least, there are two reasons why we can treat his words in other ways. First, Zhi Yuan Zang didn’t say there will be no Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro. This simply means, there COULD be the Mi Max 3 Pro. Second, he said there wouldn’t be a Mi Max 3 Pro with a Snapdragon 710. We can take this in the following way – there COULD be the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro but it will be packed with another chip.
