LG G6 and Q6 Get New Color Options
We have heard LG won’t unveil its next flagship in face of the G7 at the MWC 2018. This is related to the highest anticipation towards the Samsung Galaxy S9. So by this move, the South Korean manufacturer avoid of being overshadowed. But this doesn’t mean we won’t see new devices coming our way from LG. At least, there will be new color options for the current flagships. This is a common practice accepted and used by many top brands. So the news as the LG G6 and Q6will be launched in Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet is not surprising. Plus, it’s reported the LG G6 will get the third coloring of Raspberry Rose.
Actually, we have seen a few top smartphone brands launched new color versions of their much-loved flagships. Say, Samsung has launched the Maple Leaf option of the Galaxy S8 or the OnePlus 5T was launched in a Sandstone White variant as well as there was a bright red color option. As for now, LG is starting to want a piece of the pie.
LG G6
If remember, the LG G6 was initially launched in five color options including Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White, Terra Gold, and Marine Blue. As for the LG Q6, it came in Black, Ice Platinum, and Terra Gold. But not all colors meet a high demand. The company said only the first three color options were popular for the G6 and only the Platinum for the Q6. So that’s why they decided to come in with new offers to satisfy those customers who have been looking for something different.
As LG has announced, ‘The sophisticated hue of Moroccan Blue was inspired by the beautiful blue buildings in the city of Chefchaouen, Morocco. The silvery, romantic shade of Lavender Violet was developed to appeal to both men and women who appreciate the finer things in life. Raspberry Rose offers a strong color saturation that is unique among current smartphones and was designed with anniversaries, graduation ceremonies and Valentine’s Day in mind.’
LG Q6
In terms of specs, the LG G6 sports a 5.7-inch screen with a 2880 × 1440 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 821 chip, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 13MP dual-camera on the back, and a battery with a 3300mAh capacity. It sibling, the Q6 is packed with a 5.5-inch screen providing a 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and using the same 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 435 chip, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 5+13MP camera, and a 3000mAh battery.
The new color options are said to roll out in South Korea starting in February, with “key markets worldwide” to follow.
