Nubia Red Dev Gaming Smartphone Officially Announced

After the launch of the Xiaomi Black Shark gaming smartphone, today, we saw a new model dubbed as the Nubia Red Dev. It’s been planned to release on April 19. Fortunately, nothing changed and the company uncovered a new phone aiming at gamers.

The Nubia Red Dev gaming smartphone uses a vector aesthetic design with a water chestnut shape. The phone comes with a symmetrical look. Unlike the Xiaomi model, this one is stricter. It has a thickness of 6.85mm and a weight of 185 grams. On the back, it has a color magic RGB light strip supporting up to 16.8 million colors and four light effect modes. There are two color options to choose from – black stone and flame red.

In terms of configuration, the Nubia Red Dev sports a 6.0-inch FHD+ full-screen, using a negative LCD vertical display technology. Apart from this, the phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, up to 8GB of memory + 128GB storage, DTS Sound + SmartPA, and a battery of 3800mAh capacity. As for photography, the smartphone features an 8MP on the front and a 24MP camera on the back that comes with an aperture of f1/7. That’s why it’s known as one of the best gaming smartphones providing an SLR-like shooting performance.

We are dealing with a gaming smartphone. So it’s quite reasonable to see many optimized games pre-installed. The Nubia Red Dev comes with 128 depth-adaptive games, 79 game optimizations, and a stable high-frame rate mode. The game’s dynamic screen is smoother, the rendering is more realistic, and the game loading speed is increased by 50%.

There is an exclusive key to enter the gaming mode immediately. It limits the background apps, network and blocks incoming calls, text messages, notifications, etc.

Finally, as for pricing, the Nubia Red Dev gaming smartphone’s 8+128GB variant costs 2999 yuan, while the lower version with a 6+64GB memory combination costs 2499 yuan. It will go on sale on April 25.
