Redmi Go Officially Landed in the Philippines

It’s unusual to call Redmi as Xiaomi’s sub-brand. But we have what we have. Yesterday, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi officially and quietly released the Redmi Go smartphone. This phone has been listed in the Philippines. Plus, the price was also announced.

The Redmi Go is an Android Go model. So it’s an entry-level device with a quite affordable price tag. In terms of appearance, the upper and lower frames of the machine are relatively wide, and there are three classic virtual buttons below. As for configuration, the machine uses a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1,280×720 pixels and a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. Our protagonist is equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, complemented by the Adreno 308 GPU, paired with a 1GB of RAM and an 8GB of internal storage. But it also supports microSD card expansion, up to 128GB.

The rest of the features include a built-in 3000mAh battery, an 8-megapixel rear camera that is accompanied by a LED flash and uses an f/2.0 aperture and a 1.12-micron pixel size, and a front-facing 5-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/f 2.2.

As said, the company also announced the pricing for the Redmi Go. In fact, we are dealing with a low-end smartphone. So it’s quite expected to see a corresponding option. The Redmi Go is priced at PHP 3,990 (approximately $76.14) and is available in black and blue. Earlier, it’s been reported that this phone will also hit the Indian market. Yesterday, the company confirmed this, but no launch date or pricing was disclosed.
