Review of the QICENT 7 Port USB 2.0/3.0 HUB w/ 12V Power Adapter (images and video included)

Having a laptop or a desktop and many external HDD or mobiles, cameras and other smart devices, means having many USB ports. If you have a desktop, you have several, but I think you will agree with me, never are enough. If you have a laptop like I do, You have only 3 or 4 usb ports, which in many situations is more than little! In these situations, having a USB Hub, could be a big help!Taking under consideration that now days devices are more and more fast, suport USB 3.0, finding a good HUB which supports USB 3.0, is a miracle. And I guess Qicent this is what does with their QICENT 7 Port USB 2.0/3.0 HUB w/ 12V Power Adapter!

The QICENT 7 Port USB 2.0/3.0 HUB w/ 12V Power Adapter has all those features that you want, search, desire need, to work with all these devices that many of us have at home. The most important feature are of course the 7 USB 3.0 ports that has, giving us the option to connect 7 different devices with our desktop or laptop. So I guess that understand now why I chose it.

The QICENT 7 Port USB 2.0/3.0 HUB w/ 12V Power Adapter came to me with post from Aliexpress. The bad news where that passed customs, showing signs from this pass, as officers there where not very gentle with the package. The good thing was that because of it’s low price, I didn’t pay anything! Unpacking the protective bag, inside I found the main box of the USB hub.

As I have already mentioned, Qicent 7 port USB hub, supports many smart devices like smartphones, tablet PCs, notebooks, desktops, scanners, digital cameras, card readers, U disks, external hard disks, mouse, keyboards, etc. The USB hub is really small and compact with dimensions 187 x 32 x 23mm. It is packaged in a white box with PVC heat shrinking film.

The Qicent 7 port USB Hub is made from high quality ABS. Due to the good quality of manufacter, the hub is resistant, with strength, and stiffness. The Qicent USB hub, uses a USB 3.0 cable to connect with your desktop or laptop. The lenght of this cable is about 1 meter. It also features a 1 meter power cord, supplying with power the USB hub. By this way you can connect on it everything, without any problem. The Qicent USB hub is equipped with a special chip, the VL812 chipset, which delivers over-current, overload, over-voltage protection.

The Qicent Hub can reach speed of transfer rate up to 5Gps, when using the USB 3.0 connection. Don’t forget that has backwards compatibility, so if you don’t have any USB 3.0 devices, you can still use the usb and keep it anf for future update. The Qicent USB hub is compatible with Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / Linux / Mac OS. Above each port, you will notice a blue light indicator which comes on after the unit is powered on and a device is pluged in at that port. The hub supports plug and play technology allowing for hot swapping. No additional drivers or applications are needed.

Inside the box, you will find the Qicent 7 USB hub port, a Power Adapter, a User Manual and a Service Card.
