It’s gone on sale on March 6. And today, it started shipping.

This phone has grabbed our attention due to a few features. First, it’s the first to retain the Xperia-series’ tough design and to come in with narrowed borders. So those who have been using Sony phones for a while should be shocked a little. Moreover, there are four color options you can choose from – black, gold, blue, and silver.

As for the hardware, the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chip, which is accompanied by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. Apart from this, there is a 3430mAh battery. Thus it’s a regular mid-ranger. But this is a Sony phone, which means there should be a trick concerning its shooting performance. Fortunately, there is. The phone is packed with a dual-camera on the front. It uses a 16MP sensor supporting optical image stabilization, while the second lens comes with an 8MP wide-angle sensor. Actually, there is no linkage between these cameras. Finally, on the back, it carries a single camera with a 23MP sensor that supports 4K video recording.

As you remember, the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra has gone on sale at price tag of 2999 yuan ($474). This is an affordable price tag for a selfie-centric smartphone carrying a top brand. But we should also remember the best models in this market belong to Xiaomi. It’s an absolute leader when it comes to the price-over-hardware ratio.
