VIVO V9 Announced as the Lightened Variant of X21

We are living in the era of full-screen smartphones. And what’s more interesting, the most of them release in March. Some of them have already made their way, while the rest are waiting for the dates set earlier. Another thing, some of them have adopted the iPhone X-like bangs screen. Among them, we can mention the newly announced Huawei Nova 3e, OPPO R15, VIVO X21 and others that also comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio. But there are others using a traditional full-screen approach. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Lenovo S5, and Meizu E3 are among them. Today, another device belonging to the first group was announced. Meet the VIVO V9, a mid-range smartphone sporting too many key features.

As you can see from the photos, the VIVO V9 looks identical to the VIVO X21. The latter is the annual flagship of the company, and it’s reasonable to see many high-end features on it. As for the V9, seems we are dealing with the lightened variant of the V21. A dual-camera is placed on the back in the upper left side. Unlike the previous model, there is a fingerprint scanner.

In terms of hardware, the VIVO V9 is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, which is paired with a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of native storage. Moreover, it sports a 6.3-inch IPS screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The photography features are acceptable as well. The V9 is packed with a dual-camera using a 16+5MP sensors combination, while a 24MP camera is placed on the front. It supports AI beauty. Of course, the phone runs on Android 8.1.

Unfortunately, there is no information when this phone will go on sale and how much it will cost.
