VIVO Y95 Low-end Smartphone Officially Announced in India

On November 25, VIVO officially launched the Y95 new smartphone in India, priced at INR 16,990 (about $240). It is reported that this price has risen completely earlier this week. The VIVO Y95 can be purchased through Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, VIVO electronics stores and authorized offline retail stores. It is a low-end model, mainly including a water drop screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and a 4030mAh battery. The overall shape is not much different from the VIVO Z3.

The VIVO Y95 uses a 6.22-inch IPS display with a resolution of HD+ (1,520 x 720 pixels) and a screen ratio of 88.6%. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. This chip is based on the 12nm FinFET process. It uses an octa-core Cortex A53 architecture with a CPU clocked at 1.95GHz and a GPU of Adreno 505 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is also an X6 LTE baseband, downlink up to 150Mbps. The Snapdragon 439’s performance is increased by 25% compared to 430, while the GPU performance is increased by 20%.

At the same time, this handset runs on the FunTouchOS v4.5 system based on Android 8.1 Oreo. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back and a battery of 4,030mAh under the hood.

In addition, the VIVO Y95 sports a front-facing 20MP camera, which supports AI beauty, and a rear 13MP + 2MP AI dual-camera, which supports portrait mode, panoramic mode, AR stickers, and other functions.
