Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition With 8GB Visited TENAA

At the end of spring, Xiaomi held a new product launch conference and announced its annual flagship in face of the Mi 8. Apart from this model, there were two other ones from this series, namely the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition. But on September 19, the company held another event and uncovered two new models from this line. As you remember, they were called the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition (aka Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite) and the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro (aka Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Version). Today, another phone from this line visited TENAA.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition

This week, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a network access license to a new Xiaomi phone with a model number M1808D2TT. From the shape and configuration parameters, it still belongs to the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition series. Moreover, under the hood, we can still find the same Snapdragon 660 AIE chip. However, the shape, measurements, and network support have not changed.

Though the TENAA photo shows the previously released Twilight Gold, many users think the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition will get a new color option. Especially, the back of the phone is black.

But the most interesting part of this leak is the memory capacity. The new Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition will sport an 8GB of RAM. As you remember, the current models have only 4GB and 6GB variants.

Of course, it should be pointed out that after investigation, as early as August this year, the M1808D2TE (Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition) entered the network as well. And it was packed with an 8GB of RAM too.

At present, the 4+64GB Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition is priced at 1399 yuan ($202), the 6+64GB costs 1699 yuan ($248), and the 6+128GB version costs 1999 yuan ($288). So we are expecting the 8GB and new color variant to cost more.
