Xiaomi MI5X Smartphone Design, Hardware, Camera, Battery Review (Flash Sale)

Yesterday Xiaomi released its new model, Xiaomi MI 5X, aiming at offline market. which is famous for design, spokesman, and dual rear camera, at press conference, it has released MIUI 9 OS, called ‘lightning system’, and Xiaomi MI5X will be compatible with MIUI 9 OS later. And Xiaomi invited one of the most handsome Chinese celebrity, Kris Wu as their spokesman. Therefore, let’s see how powerful Xiaomi MI5X is .

Design 

Xiaomi MI5X adopts 2.5D glass on the front design, on the back, it looks like iPhone 7 Plus and OPPO R11, including hidden antenna line and dual rear camera design, etc. In holding feeling, Xiaomi MI5X offers R curved on the edge, so it has very excellent holding feeling, in addition, its screen surface offers oil absorbent layer. It also uses 5.5 inch FHD screen, offering the best viewing quality.

OS

Many users should hope Xiaomi MI 5X can install MIUI 9 OS, it is pity that this time Xiaomi MI5X still preinstalled MIUI 8 OS, and it will upgrade to MIUI 9 officially until August 11, which is in the first batch.

Hardware

After testing the game ‘King of Glory’ , it operates fluently, group team has kept 25 frames to 30 frames, and no heat issue obviously.

Battery

Xiaomi MI5X is built in 3080mAh battery with 5V/2A power adapter, the following battery life test is under the condition of non-SIM card, good WIFI connection, etc.

After testing 15 minutes about the game ‘King of Glory’, the phone power has reduced from 96% to 92% ,but after standby for a while, it has reduced to 91%, so it should consume 5% power.

Later on, use Xiaomi video app to play one episode tv play, choosing ultra high definition mode, no stuck, consuming about 6% power.

In terms of battery life, Xiaomi MI5X should meet one day needs to use. If you use it under high intensity, it can be used over half day.

In quick charge, Xiaomi adopts 18W  and the third-party QC 3.0 quick charge, charging speed is faster than original one.

Camera

Xiaomi MI5X adopts dual rear 12MP camera, wide-viewing and long focus solution, similar solution to Xiaomi MI6 and iPhone 7 Plus, but different module.

Xiaomi MI5X this time uses OV12A1 and OV13880 camera, 26mm and 50mm equivalent focal length. The former has 1.25um pixel inch, same as that of Xiaomi MI5C, the latter has 1um pixel inch.
