ZTE Axon 9 To Come Soon As a New Full-Screen Flagship

We don’t know whether the smartphone design offered by ZTE will go viral or not, but the company deeply believes this is the future. After launching the dual-screen folding Axon M in the States back in November 2017, ZTE brought this awesome device to China recently. The same phone with no changes was released in this market on January 20. And immediately after that, the company made a statement confirming the rumors about the upcoming folding Axon handsets. Particularly, Jeff Yee, VP Technology Planning, and Partnerships at ZTE said in an interview the Axon M has got a positive feedback from buyers, and the company is going to improve this technology in the future. Thus ZTE is going to come with more folding smartphones. But what’s more interesting the manufacturer also announced this design will be brought to the A-series as well. Thus, the company will make high-end smartphones with a folding design. Let’s wait for news on this case, but before it happens, most likely, we are going to meet another phone named the ZTE Axon 9.

ZTE Axon M

Not that much is known about the ZTE Axon 9, but some specs of the forthcoming flagship have been revealed. According to various rumors, this handset will be using a 6-inch full-screen AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. To make a tough competition to the top-level models, it will be packed with a Snapdragon 845 chip, which is assumed to be paired with a 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. Although it’s expected to see a 6+256GB higher variant as well. The phone will run on Android 8.0, undoubtedly.

The ZTE Axon 9 is expected to cost 3500-4000 yuan that converts to $550-630. This rumor sounds quite realistic, but if it is true, we’ll see the ZTE Axon 9 not earlier than March-April period when the first SND845-powered flagships are expected to launch.
